In his new book The Hipster Handbook, a tongue-in-cheek guide to the hipster lifestyle published by Anchor Books (a paperback imprint of Random House), author Robert Lanham lists Regenerated Headpiece as one of the "Newer Artists Kicking Ass This Decade." Joining RHP on this list are such notable "artists of the moment" as The White Stripes, The Hives, Gorillaz, EL-P, Antipop Consortium, Ryan Adams, RJD2, Queens of The Stone Age, and Cannibal Ox. Lanham, who is also the editor of Free Williamsburg, wrote in the October issue of the 'zine that Rat Race Vacation was his "favorite hip hop album of 2001." I guess he must have meant it. Oh, and did I mention that the book was recently reviewed in The New York Times? Saturday, March 01, 2003
